Yes. The Dupont Park Adventist School is accredited by the North American Division of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist.

Yes. In addition, Physical Education uniforms are required for grades K-8, and may be ordered from Risse Brothers.

Where can I purchase the uniforms?
A.
Uniforms may be purchased at Risse Brothers or any local uniform store.  PE uniforms may only be purchased from Risse Brothers.

What are the tuition payment options?

There are four tuition payment options:

C. Monthly withdrawal from your bank account

Tuition rates are subject to revision.
 
Additional yearly fees are payable at registration.

How are the lunches provided?

Students bring their own lunch. On Fridays, pizza is offered at cost.

Are there any dietary requirements?

Yes. Our school follows a vegetarian diet.

What is the student/teacher ratio?
 
The average class ratio is 20 students to 1 teacher.

Is transportation provided to and from school?
A.
No. Many of our students use public transportation.

Are all grades located on one campus?
A.
No. There are two separate campuses. One campus is for elementary students. And the other campus is for middle school students. The pre-kindergarten students are located in a separate building on the elementary campus.

Are your teachers certified?
A.
All teachers are required to be certified.

Does the school have before and aftercare?
A.
Yes. Aftercare hours are from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. All aftercare students work on homework from 3:30 until 4:30. At 4:30, structured recreation is provided until 6:00. Aftercare ends at 6:00 sharp on Monday-Thursday.  Aftercare closes at 4:30 pm on Fridays.

How does this school compare with other schools in regard to tests, and college admissions?
A.
We have been in the business of educating children for over one hundred years with positive results. Many of our students do well on standardized tests and college entrance exams; moreover, a competitive curriculum has produced generations of professionals, artists, technicians, leaders, thinkers and doers. The school does not promote failure, but believes all students can achieve.

Where are you located?
A.
We are conveniently located to serve the Washington Metropolitan Area. Located in Southeast Washington, we are easily accessible by public transportation. Our two-campus complex houses pre-kindergarten through grade 8 in three buildings.
